With regular waxing appointments, hair growth becomes softer, finer, and sparse. Exfoliation may be necessary on waxed areas to prevent ingrown hairs. If this is your first experience with waxing, allow seven to ten days of hair growth to ensure a clean and smooth result. Ask us about exfoliation methods for prevention of ingrown hairs. Hair removal by waxing is a form of exfoliation and can leave your skin with temporary redness and/or bumps depending upon your skin's sensitivity level. For best results, you should refrain from UVA/UVB tanning or sun exposure 24-48 hours before or after your service. Also, certain topical or oral medications, as well as certain product ingredients can interfere with results of some waxing services and should be avoided 5-7 days before or after the treatment.
