Results vary per individual and (on average) three treatments or more may be needed to achieve your desired satisfaction.
To keep brown spots away, avoid UVA/UVB rays by abstaining from tanning beds and exposure to sun’s rays. If abstinence from sun exposure is not possible, use a minimum of SPF 30 and reapplication of SPF 30 every two hours on exposed areas. A daily moisturizer containing SPF 30 is recommended under makeup.

Sundamage before/after photo
All too familiar to most of us are signs of sun damage. Small to large areas of brown spots, hyperpigmentation, broken capillaries, underlying redness, fine lines and wrinkles, as well as loss of elasticity and sunken skin lead to an unhealthy appearance in the skin.
Reverse some of these characteristics with treatments offered at Dermistique. Our Estheticians will customize a service to target areas of laxity and dullness. Sun damage treatments incorporate either all or a combination of microdermabrasion, chemical peels, dermaplaning, radio high frequency, ingredients for lightening, products that are pigment inhibiting, and a dose of SPF for daytime protection.
Of most importance following treatments for your sun damage is to prevent additional sun damage, which consists of avoiding UVA/UVB rays by abstaining from tanning beds and exposure to sun’s rays. If abstinence from sun exposure is not possible, use a minimum of SPF 30 and reapplication of SPF 30 every two hours on exposed areas. A daily moisturizer containing SPF 30 is recommended under makeup.
For the Sun Damage treatment, expect cosmetic improvement, not perfection!
Smoother Skin before/after photo
If you’ve caught a glimpse of your skin in the mirror and notice unwanted facial hair, small bumps, raised spots, or roughness, there’s a solution, and it’s called smoother skin. Common unsightly marks are typically treatable and painless. Hard white bumps under the skin’s surface are milia or closed comedones and don’t always come to a head like a normal pimple. Small, raised, yellowish bumps with a depressed center are typically sebaceous hyperplasias, and small, rough bumps with a “warty” texture are sometimes known as seborrheic keratoses, or “sk’s” as dermatologists like to call them. You’re not alone if the small perfectly round flesh-colored mole you’ve always had starts to get increasingly bigger and more unsightly as you age. As long as your dermatologist has indicated these spots and bumps are benign, non-worrisome, or “cosmetic”, our Estheticians at Dermistique can fade, diminish, remove, or treat them.
Results vary per individual and (on average) three treatments or more may be needed to achieve your desired satisfaction. Treatments for smoother skin may incorporate one or a combination of microdermabrasion, chemical peels, radio high frequency, extractions, steam cleansing, enzyme exfoliation, dermaplaning, or other specialized techniques performed by your Esthetician.
Broken Capillaries before/after photo
Large areas of redness particularly on the cheeks, nose, chin, and sometimes forehead typically stem from broken capillaries. A broken capillary is also known as a “dead capillary” and are often caused by several factors such as damage, injury, or trauma to the skin, genetic or inherited factors, over exposure to outside elements, and overstimulation of blood flow internally caused by various factors.
Prominent broken capillaries at Dermistique can be treated with a radio high frequency device, known as the LamProbe. This process uses heat from a small probe at the surface of the skin to redirect blood flow to other healthy capillaries. This, in turn, reduces the appearance of the red, broken capillary. Treatments vary per individual and are recommended every 6-8 weeks and may take up to three or more visits for the broken capillary to fade, subside, or diminish to your satisfaction.
